"Let's pretend that the doors to this building are locked. We will leave outside politics, our jobs, our family crisis', and have 2 hours of great music. We love that you are here and want to give you memories to last a lifetime."

Memories to last a lifetime. So very true. Last nights Matchbox 20 concert was, and I am pretty sure will be, the best concert I will ever see. Well, I'll start off with the obvious. Rob Thomas is SO FUCKING SEXY.

I don't know what it is. His scruffy hair. His beautiful intense eyes. The wedding ring. His built (just the right size) arms and chest. Well, last night he had all that. And added to the above attractiveness was...he plays the piano (very well) and...THE BLACK LEATHER PANTS! Oh my god!

For a concert in an arena that hold 18,000 people, it amazingly felt like it was just you and him. Armed with my digital camera, I tried to take some pics (though they didn't really turn out...boooo) and my binoculars with which I stared through them for minutes at a time simply watching him. Watching a man so intense. So into what he was singing. It was amazing. After nearly 2 hours, he said goodbye Ottawa. Thanks for having us. Cheer. Clap. Wahoo. And of course...ENCORE! He sat in the middle of the stage on a stool, guitar in hand, spotlight on him. He sang "Time After Time". It brought tears to my eyes it was so beautiful. Geez. Listen to me.
Lifehouse, who opened for MB 20, were also just AMAZING. I was expecting to be disappointed due to a review I had read that said they were terrible live. Well, they were quite the opposite in my opinion. Only thing was, they did not play my most favorite song "Breathing". I was quite traumatized. But in a way it was good as it saved me from shedding tears (which was inevitable if they had played it).
So, I'm sure you can tell that I had a great time. I am still gushing more than 24 hours later. Here are some (crappy) pics I took. Thought I'd show them anyways.
Lifehouse
(I KNOW they are all blurry....trust me that it's really him!)
