....ya'll need a slap upside your head.
Oh, suuuure. It's fun to go sliding on the hill by your house on that "snow day" and you get to wear cute little toques, even when it's not really all that cold out. Well, I HATE winter. I hate snow. I do not associate winter and snow with fun and snow angels. I associate it with:
1. Going tobaganning with my dad and ending up in a damn creek, soaking wet and frozen for the rest of the day.
2. Splitting my chin open on an ice slide in the back yard and having to get stitches.
3. Always getting frozen toes and fingers and ears (read: frostbite) when dragged down to the Rideau Canal to go skating no matter the temperature. Once you get frostbite, you never go back....
4. Hanging Christmas lights for HOURS last year in -30'C weather while my parents were away as a suprise and having my mom say as we drive up the street "Why don't they go all around the house?"....%#$@% you.
5. Sliding into the back of a Ford Explorer last year in a parking lot. Cost me big bucks to fix both cars.
And last, but certainly not least...
6. Shoveling the snow. Not just pushing it aside but tossing the full, heavy shovel of wet snow up to the top of a 6 foot high snow bank in February...and watching the snow slide right back down like a mini avalanche.
And that my children is why I hate winter. Is it summer yet? Bah.
