It's My Life

03-16 - Deep Breath. Count To Five.

I Will Not Snap. I Will Not Cry.

A little background: my parents have returned home from living overseas for two years. In those two years I have been living all by my self in the house, and had the car to myself.

Now, we get along fine, don't get me wrong. But it was not even 10 minutes and my mother made the traditional I don't like your hair comment. What's so wrong with that you ask? Me, being a person who is very self-conscious in the looks/body department, I take great pride in my hair. You insult my hair, you insult me...Telling me that the one thing I know (or at least think) looks good hurts more than it should. I've told her many times that I just don't want to hear it from her, that it upsets me and she says she'll never do it again...until next time.

*sigh* I'm still waiting for that traditional comment about my weight.
