2004-06-09 - My diseased mother


So, I've been meaning to write tons but, meh, I just haven't. I've wanted to write about how my mother is driving me crazy with the wedding planning still, and the most current issue is a wedding shower. But, really, there are bigger things it seems.....

My mother is currently in the hospital, and has been there for the past 5 days. She went in on Friday with a fever, headache, and a swollen foot. She has an infection in her leg (foot and upper thigh). They don't knwo what it is, and even at one point sent her for an MRI thinking it was "Flesh Eating Disease". Luckily that has been ruled out because yeah, amputation as an only fix is NOT ideal. In the five days, it hasn't improved nor gotten worse, but they don't know what it is and just keep giving her antibiotics. Poor her.

Now, cause I can always find the positive in things....my univeristy graduation ceremony (aka 3 hours torture session) is on Saturday and I was only going to make her happy. So now....heh. But my dad said he wants to go, and I guess since she can't make it he'll have to take some pictures for her. We'll see.

Anwyways, lots has been going on, but there's the quickie update. I'll be back with more soon.
