2002-07-29 - Chubby Mullets

Softball? Hardball.

To make a really long story short (which may be hard, bear with me)... I went to watch the boy play in a softball tournament this weekend in a town (apparently) highly populated with white trash. A player on his team (who are NOT white trash) swore at the umpire for making a bad call. The umpire kicked him out. Some fans from our team simply started telling the umpire that maybe he should kick out the pitcher on the other team because he was swearing at the umpire every time he called a bad pitch a "ball" rather than a "strike". Well...the fans of the other team, we'll call them the "White Trash Chubby Mullets", did not like this. A lady (girl really) comes over with a baby in one arm, a cigarette in the other, and starts yelling at our fans to "shut the hell up, there are children around here" (remember it was the pitcher on HER team that was also swearing) and so again, someone says "then tell that to your pitcher"...and what does she say? Baby on hip, she yells back "That pitcher is my brother and he can say whatever the fuck he wants." And THEN..."You want to take this to the parking lot?" (I sh*t you not). No says our fans. Then...she does the talk to the hand motion(with the cigarette) a few times.

To recap:
1. Tells our fans to stop swearing cause there are kids around.
2. Her brother was the swearing pitcher.
3. "He's mah (inbred) bro, and he can say whatever he *bleep-diddly-bleep bleep* wants."
4. Wants to fight in the parking lot.

Mmmhhmm....it was all I could do not to go down there and give her head a shake.

Really. I thought these people only existed on US talk shows.

Oh yah. Our team won. Chubby Mullet that!
